Experience

• B.A. from the University of Minnesota, with a minor degree in Coaching/Athletic Training.

• Collegiate Skater for the University of Minnesota.

• Nearly 20 years of coaching experience in both Minnesota and North Dakota; coach at the Bismarck Figure Skating Club since 2012. 

• Coach of USFSA Gold Medalists in Skating Skills, Partnered & Solo Pattern Dance, Singles, and Free Dance.

 Coaching Philosophy & Objectives 

My goals as a coach focus on empowering skaters to achieve their personal goals through dedication and perseverance. I enjoy teaching skaters how this sport builds upon itself and I encourage my students to understand the biomechanics of each element. I am invested in my skaters’ success and excited to pass my love of skating on to my students. I love helping my skaters grow both on and off the ice! I also believe that a successful skating seasons are built on strong communication between the coach, skater, and parents.
